Seeking a therapist in navigating your healing journey is a wonderful way to help you create meaningful change in your life, and I want to thank you for considering me as your therapist.

Having overcome personal adversities, faced my deepest fears, and learned to manage my emotional triggers, I have cultivated a resilient, compassionate understanding of myself and others. My approach to therapy is holistic and tailored to each individual, drawing on a diverse toolkit that includes Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and somatic practices. I am also trained in EMDR and have experience in pain and stress management, and helping clients digest their emotional experiences.

In therapy, my aim is to help you uncover and understand the various facets of your identity, how they manifest in your life, and how you can harness this knowledge to dismantle unconscious barriers and live a life that is true to your authentic self. I bring a light-hearted touch and a good sense of humor to our sessions, promising an atmosphere where your concerns can be viewed with acceptance, compassion and hope.

My life has not followed a conventional trajectory. Growing up, my family moved around a great deal, which came with challenges, but allowed me to explore nearly 40 countries. These experiences not only made me comfortable with unpredictability but also taught me that there is a universe of possibilities within each of us. My academic journey began in fine arts and transitioned to a degree in anthropology to delve deeper into the human condition. I spent over a decade in the environmental sector before completing my Master’s in Counselling Psychology—a step that helped me integrate my intuitive understanding of human emotions and behaviors. I now stand confident in my purpose: to guide others toward their own inner revelations to create meaningful change. I look forward to connecting and exploring with you in a supportive space, to meet you exactly where you are in life.

Katie at Home

I am a stepmother to three beautiful girls. In my spare time, you’ll find me outside, kayaking, hiking, doing Muay Thai, yoga, outdoor photography, and trying my best to keep my creative and adventure seeking self occupied. I have an existential take on life and enjoy deep philosophical conversations with friends or strangers. I enjoy meeting new people, creating and cooking and am always chasing sunsets and a good charcuterie board. I believe we ebb and flow between pure joy, gratitude and adversity and try my best each day to see the positives in life.
